The first stage of the work consists of a ‘landscape review’ of EMA activity to help us understand the state of play and the key pain points and technical environment as well as identifying success stories that others can learn from. There are various ways for you to join in this conversation.

1. Tell us about your experiences:

We have formulated a set of questions to help us gain an overview. This work builds on and complements the findings from previous HeLF EMA surveys and addresses additional areas needed for the study. The questions are really just prompts – you can see the full set before you participate and there are lots of opportunities to add your own information.

The link to the questions can be found here:

We would like as many responses as possible from the post compulsory education sector and we are able to handle multiple responses per institution. Some of the questions address known issues for HEIs – if you have mixed FE and HE provision please state to which aspect of your provision your response applies. All responses will be treated in confidence and only aggregate data released.

The questions will remain open until 29th April 2014.

2. Participate in the EMA ‘Think Tank’:

We will also be running a ‘Think Tank’ event in central Birmingham on 14th May 2014. We are inviting those who respond to our question set to express interest in receiving an invitation. Places are strictly limited and your responses will be used to help us identify a cross-section of attendees (should demand significantly exceed the number of places we may look to put on further events). Think Tank participants will help us validate and develop the initial findings and start to establish a generic lifecycle model that might help inform discussion with wider stakeholders including technology providers. Places at the Think Tank will be confirmed by email on 1st May.
